Six years after initially conceiving the idea, and seven months after realizing we could make the idea real, we’ve finally done it: we’ve moved abroad! Specifically, we’ve established two “home bases,” in London in Taipei, and split our time between Europe in the summers and Asia in the winters.

Given that it was our first spring in the city, and we hadn’t yet visited the New York Botanical Gardens, we decided to make it out there to see spring flowers in all their glory.

Since moving to New York City, one of the things I’ve most enjoyed has been watching the leaves change — they just don’t change the same way (or at all) in California. But we’ve been in and out of town a lot, and I was worried we’d miss peak autumn.

When we moved to New York City, we got an apartment where M could have his own office, as he’s now full-time remote. And the first thing he did was research the best of everything for an office setup: desk, monitor, webcam, lighting, keyboard, storage, printer, etc. These are the results of his research, guest-written by him!

As some of you may already know, we moved to New York City! After years of considering the move, we finally took the plunge and moved earlier this year. A lot of people have asked us why, after 6 years of living in and loving SF, we’re moving, so here are our top 5 reasons.

Planning a destination wedding without visiting the destination is quite the adventure, and we knew we'd need at least a week before our wedding to get everything ready to go before our big day.

It was a day full of anticipation. After a 5am hike up the Marin headlands, we settled down on our blanket, alone but for our picnic. Slowly, the sun rose and melted the fog, revealing the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and, eventually, SF. This is the story of the most special day of my life.

One late October day, our two CG's were heading to lunch after church, and it was raining. He shared his umbrella with me, I shared my number with him, and we shared our first date together 4 days later. This is that story.
